Portrait of Zalmy Pinson

Zalmy Pinson

Former California Franchise Tax Board auditor. Now building AI work systems for operators.

The short version

Zalmy.AI installs agents, runbooks, review points, boundaries, and records for operators who want to start with one bounded workflow.

The credential

I worked as an auditor for the California Franchise Tax Board, including matters involving Fortune 500 taxpayers. That work taught me what happens when controls are unclear, records don't reconcile, and the evidence ends at "someone decided."

I stopped practicing to build what I couldn't find — an AI implementation firm that treats boundaries, review, and evidence as part of the work.

The system

We use AI agents in selected parts of our own operations.

We begin client work with one named workflow.

Each engagement receives its own boundaries and review points.

We show what is illustrative, what is working, and what remains unresolved.

The position

We do not start from scratch. We work with your tools, workflow, and team. We add a work system: named authority, stop conditions, human review points, and an inspectable record.

What we don't do: crypto-related accounting, SaaS wrappers, chatbot builders, "automate everything" engagements, or engagements that leave consequential action classes without an agreed review rule.

Start with one workflow.

Use the prompt pack to name one real workflow. If it looks worth reviewing, the One-Workflow Plan gives us a concrete way to map it together.
